How to run

There are plenty of examples of world-class performers who do not possess the perfect effortless running action.  Besides, running style is one of those things that is very hard to change.  This is not to say, however, that you should not consider how you can optimize your own way of running.  Even slight changes to how you hold your shoulders or carry your arms can influence how you feel in your longer runs or a race, and thus affect your overall performance.

At the very least it may be useful to watch yourself by getting a friend or your gym to film you running on a treadmill to see if you can make any energy-saving adjustments to your running technique.
